Bloody Moon | 1981 | Spain/Germany | Jesus Franco
Probably one of the most commonly seen horror movie of Jesus Franco’s, Bloody Moon is a disco-laden romp set at a Spanish language school where a murder that took place many years ago has sullied the reputation somewhat. It re-opens in the present day and a group of girls led by the beautiful Angela soon learn that the horrors are from forgotten. Blending beautiful scenery, graphic slashings and erotic fumblings, Bloody Moon is pretty much everything you can ask for in a slasher. But with a repertoire of kills that include a nipple being skewered, chests being hedge-trimmed and a head being sawed off, the DPP was not joking around when he had this cheese-fest banned.
