Cannibal Terror | 1981 | France/Spain | Alain Duerelle

Produced in France and filmed in Spain, this is one of the few so-called cannibal movies to be shot outside of Italy. Two crooks and a prostitute meet up in a bar, somewhat discontent with their meagre earnings. Deciding to step up their game, they kidnap the young daughter of an automobile mogul and hide out with an ally in the jungle. When the wife of their host is raped by one of the thugs, revenge is swiftly administered by forcing them into the path of jungle cannibals. Much less competent and comprehensible, it can be assumed that the film was simply brought in because of the ‘Cannibal’ title as the film itself is rather paltry as a shocker.
