Don’t Go In The Woods | 1980 | USA | James Bryan

One of the more ridiculous titles to be ultimately prosecuted was Don’t Go In The Woods, a not-very-serious backwoods slasher concerning a group of campers who hightail it to a very dense forested mountain area, only to come across a deranged mountain man with little backstory but loads of violent deaths. While the film has an impressive amount of on-screen carnage, the film’s cheesy style and amateurish production values render the whole experience a bit of a joke, albeit a very fun one. The DPP however wasn’t in on it and had the VHS seized in the raids.
