Don’t Go Near the Park | 1981 | USA | Lawrence D. Foldes
Cheap and cheerful, Foldes’ horror picture is another bonkers addition to the list, simply for its low impact scenes of violence and generally hammy acting. Two cave dwellers called Gar and Tra are cursed by their tribal leader to live forever and eternally grow old as punishment for some misdeeds, only able to lift the spell if one of them sacrifices one of their virginal children. Many centuries later, a child called Bondi is sired by Gar and is thrust into a mad cataclysm of devilish sacrifice and supernatural violence. The make-up effects are quite poor, the plot is rather nonsensical but there was something in it the DPP didn’t like. Whatever it was, no one knows!
