A rather updated and tweaked version of Carrie, the film follows a young bullied military cadet who after suffering copious amounts of indignities from his peers, uses a computer to summon the spirit of a dead Satanist, imparting supernatural power and an army of diabolic hogs to wreak his long-awaited revenge. While it’s a little bit of a slow burn, the film’s denouement of devilish decapitation and bacon butchery was too much for the censorious government who had it banned with the other sadistic filth. There’s some suggestion that it was even the theme of being possessed by supernatural technology (the computer) that was the most contentious aspect of this nasty.
