Notably the only British film to be prosecuted as a video nasty, this tense sexually-charged thriller dictates the story of Paul Martin, a struggling writer who has more than his share of skeletal closet dwellers. Hiring secretary Linda to aid him with his imminent novel, he soon discovers that his past may be less of a thing to worry about when the house hosts a rather shocking bloodbath. While it does have some savage bloodletting, including a rather nasty shower sequence, it’s more the kinkiness of the female characters that put this on the DPP’s radar and without many staunch supporters, the Intervision VHS was an easy conviction for an already irked prosecutor.
