Released in the late 70s under various titles like Staying Alive or I Hate Your Guts, the film focuses on a group of horrendous thugs who invade the home of a preacher and begin to racially terrorise and abuse their new captors. There’s only so much the family can take however and after so much hatred, the thugs will soon regret starting what they could not finish. With elements like sexual assault and the murder of children included, the film was easy prey for the DPP’s keen eye for controversy. The notoriety of the film has been somewhat aggravated by the presence of intense racial slurs and racist language, something which still halts a release today.
