Rejected for the UK cinemas, Ruggero Deodato's brutal home invasion film was released intact by Skyline Video. The film's plot involves the sadistic Alex and his crony Ricky who are invited to a bourgeois residence to attend a party with some young partygoers. When they begin to clash over their perceived class difference, Alex takes the initiative and holds them all hostage, subjecting them to humiliation, assault and rape. The frequent scenes of sexual violence, including one in which the victim's consent is troublingly ambiguous, was far too controversial for the DPP who had it added to his list.
