Human Experiments | 1979 | USA | Gregory Goodell
Presumably scooped in the huge lasso that sought to nab SS Experiment, this women in prison flick from Gregory Goodell is a minor cult film of note, with some rather typical sequences of women catfighting, being menaced by doctors, etc. Rachel is a country singer who falls foul of the local sheriff and storms off from her latest gig, coming across a multiple murder scene. Shooting the perpetrator, she herself is implicated for the crime and imprisoned, where she finds herself under a mad doctor’s eye who wants to experiment with reducing criminality in women. Apart from some horrible sequences where Rachel is terrorised by hordes of insects and spiders, the film is otherwise fairly innocuous but featured on the nasties list for a while before it was dropped.
