Clearly one of the more well-known of the nasties and one of the most reviled, I Spit On Your Grave is a rape-and-revenge movie from the late 70's. The story begins with a young woman called Jennifer, a budding writer who moves to the country to work on her manuscript. Instead of finding peace, she encounters a small group of rednecks who brutally gang rape her several times before leaving her for dead. Piecing herself together slowly, she then undertakes a violent retribution against the men who wronged her. Still controversial and notably still censored in the UK today, I Spit On Your Grave was a rather easy conviction due to the strong scenes of sexual assault.
