Revenge of the Bogey Man | 1983 | USA | Ulli Lommel

A sequel to Ulli Lommel’s Bogey Man (which also ended up on the nasties list), the film follows protagonist Lacey as she moves to Hollywood and becomes involved with a sleazy director who wishes to turn her experiences of the years prior into a movie. The dredging up of her memories however allows the vengeful spectre to return, slaughtering all the actors of the set before turning its attention to Lacey once more. It’s rather unique for a sequel in that the majority of its footage is from the predecessor, with new footage only accounting for about 40% of the movie. It was included as a nasty presumably because of the gory set pieces from its original that were included and has subsequently become extremely rare to find on any medium.
