Snuff | 1976 | USA/Argentina | Michael Findlay
A rather unique yet equally controversial release, Snuff was announced for release by Astra Video in the early 80's. Due to the massive outrage in the US for the film, Astra decided to cancel the release but were unable to stop bootlegs of the film being distributed around. The film itself was an Argentine-based exploitation film which is a rough retelling of the Charles Manson story, with an added scene at the end to suggest one of the actresses was murdered for real. Despite the boring nature of the main feature and the fakeness of the final scene, the scaremongering about the possibility of it being snuff was enough to get it banned.
